DUSHANBE, 29.11.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Out of 5.8 million people that need to be vaccinated against COVID-19, nearly 3 million people or 51.1% have already received their vaccinations, reports the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population.
Also, 2,578,000 people or 43.3% have received their second dose of the vaccine.
The target population in Dushanbe has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, receiving both of the shots.
As of November 26, 45.8% of the target population of Khatlon has been vaccinated with the first dose, with 37.5% having received both doses. In Sughd those who have gotten vaccinated make up approximately 43.8% of the population, while those who have received both shots make up 34.2% of the population. In GBAO 67.8% have received the first dose and 64.9% the second dose, while in the regions of republican subordination 43.0% have recieved the first dose and 36.9% the second dose.
There are regions, cities and districts that do not have good indicators in the implementation of the plan for the coverage of citizens with vaccination.
Sughd’s indicators, for example, are rather low. The implementation of the plan in the cities and districts of Hissor, Vahdat, Tursunzoda, Isfara, Konibodom, Panjakent, Istaravshan, Rasht, Nurobod, Rudaki, Kushoniyon, Jaloliddin Balkhi, Abdurahmon Jomi, Vose, Kulob, Farkhor, Hamadoni, and Mastchoh are low as well.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population calls on residents to take an active part in vaccination, since the only way to protect the country’s population from COVID-19 is to get vaccinated.
