IRS: Two-Way Traffic on Dushanbe-Chanak Highway Restored

DUSHANBE, 18.01.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Traffic on the Dushanbe-Chanak highway has been fully restored, reports the branch of the Innovative Road Solutions LTD in Tajikistan.
Currently, employees of the company’s branch are engaged in the elimination of the consequences of avalanches.
Numerous avalanches that had descended on the Dushanbe-Chanak highway since yesterday morning have been cleared, and traffic from Khujand to Dushanbe was restored this morning.
According to the company, yesterday a large avalanche came down on the 65th kilometer of the Dushanbe-Chanak highway — 10 meters high and more than 600 meters wide. Six units of powerful machinery were involved in clearing the road from both sides.
