Criminal Turn Himself In to the Khorug Police

DUSHANBE, 19.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, resident of Khorug, Firuz Saidibrohimov, who is wanted for hooliganism, turned himself in to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for GBAO.
As part of cooperation between the leadership of the internal affairs bodies of the region with relatives and friends of the wanted, he turned himself in to the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for GBAO. Saidibrohimov has been officially on the wanted list since October, 2021 for committing hooliganism under article 237 of the Criminal Code of Tajikistan.
Investigative measures are being continued in relation to Saidibrohimov.
The head of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for GBAO Sharif Nazarzoda is holding a series of open meetings with the residents of Khorug in order to strengthen bilateral cooperation between the police and the population.
Their latest meeting, which was held in the Saifullo Abdulloev settlement of Khorug, along with issues related to order and stability of society, also focused on issue of assistance to the community, activists, relatives and friends of wanted criminals, wherein voluntary appearance in the police was discussed. It was stressed that this step would be taken into account in Saidibrohimov’s sentencing.
Along with this, Nazarzoda spoke about the measures taken by the internal affairs bodies of the region to ensure the rule of law, protect the rights and interests of citizens, restore the violated rights of residents, and thus ensure social justice.
