Maliksho Nematzoda and Osama Maccabi Express Readiness to Implement Cooperation Programs

DUSHANBE, 21.04.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Chairman of the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Tajikistan Maliksho Nematzoda met with the head of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Office Osama Makkawi in order to establish cooperation and implement joint programs.
Nematzoda informed Makkawi about the activities of trade unions in Tajikistan within the framework of social partnerships, development of decent work by promoting social dialogue with employers of the republic, social protection of workers and their rehabilitation, protection of social labor rights of workers, organization of recreational activities for children and adolescents during the summer holidays, and providing legal and practical assistance in matters of labor relations related to the powers of the Trade Unions.
Makkawi provided information on the activities of the UNICEF Office in Tajikistan and expressed satisfaction with the cooperation of government and relevant structures for the implementation of programs.
The parties identified priority areas of bilateral activity and expressed their readiness to implement cooperation programs.
