Tajikistan and US Discussed Development of Bilateral Relations in Various Fields

DUSHANBE, 18.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 16, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to the United States Farrukh Hamralizoda met with Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Donald Lu in Washington.
The meeting focused on a wide range of issues related to the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the US in the political, economic, scientific, cultural spheres, in healthcare, education, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
The parties also expressed hope that cooperation between the two countries would continue to develop on the basis of mutually beneficial interests.

Lu visited Tajikistan in May as part of his Central Asian tour.
On May 25, Dushanbe hosted the ninth round of annual political consultations between Tajikistan and the US led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirodjiddin Muhriddin and Lu.
