Tajik Delegation Attends First Central Asia – India Meeting of Secretaries of Security Councils

DUSHANBE, 08.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajik delegation headed by the Secretary of the Security Council Nasrullo Mahmudzoda attended the First Central Asia — India Meeting of National Security Advisers/Secretaries of Security Councils, which was held on December 5 in New Delhi in accordance with the decisions of First Central Asia — India Summit.
Mahmudzoda noted the growing trend of expanding traditional and emerging challenges, including cybercrime, environmental and biological threats.
He also noted the need to strengthen the protection of the state border with Afghanistan, and jointly combat drug trafficking, terrorism, etc.
The meeting ended with the adoption of the Joint Communique.
On that day, on the side-lines of the above-mentioned meeting, Mahmudzoda met with the National Security Adviser to the Indian Prime Minister Ajit Doval, which was focused on issues and ways to strengthen cooperation in the field of security.
