Japanese Delegation Invited to UN 2023 Water Conference

DUSHANBE, 08.12.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Ambassadors of Tajikistan Mirzosharif Jalolov and the Netherlands Peter van der Vlist in Japan met with the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism of Japan Furukawa Yasushi.
The meeting focused on cooperation between Tajikistan and the Netherlands on co-chairing the UN Water Conference to be held from March 22 through March 24, 2023 in New York, as well as ensuring the participation of a high-level delegation from Japan at this conference.
Jalolov also informed about water problems and international initiatives of Tajikistan in the field of water, prevention of climate change and glaciers preservation, calling international cooperation necessary to solve water-related problems.
