National Bank of Tajikistan Warns of an Organized Scammers Group

DUSHANBE, 11.01.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The National Bank of Tajikistan warns of an organized group of unknown scammers who, in order to profit from the citizens of the country, distribute videos on Facebook and Instagram on behalf of the transnational energy company of the Russian “Gazprom” LLC “Gazprom-Invest.”
According to the bank, in their videos, the group notes that the Chairman of the Board of “Gazprom,” together with the parliament, launched a microcapital program to improve the living standards of the country’s population. This program is allegedly aimed at making a profit by investing in stock markets, currency markets and others, requires our citizens, first of all, money transfers from them to receive huge sums of money.
In this regard, the National Bank of Tajikistan calls on citizens to refrain from cooperation with unknown persons so as not to become a victim of fraudsters.
