Tajik Rescuers Remove from the Rubble a Three-Year-Old Boy Named Yavuz

DUSHANBE, 13.02.2023 (NIAT Khovar) — A week after the earthquake, Tajik rescuers managed for the second time to find and extract living people from under the rubble of a destroyed multi-storey residential building.
On February 12, after many hours of search and rescue activities in the Onikisubat district of Kahramanmaras, Tajik rescuers managed to find and remove from the rubble a three-year-old child named Yavuz.
He was under the rubble for 158 hours. In order not to frighten the boy, the rescuers turned off the equipment and crawled to him.
Tajik rescuers recovered 78 bodies of the dead.
Rescue work continues.
