Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology Will Be Built in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 20.04.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The Institute of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Perinatology will be built in Tajikistan. This was stated during a meeting of the leadership of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population with representatives of the KfW Development Bank.
The construction will be carried out as part of the 6th stage of the project “Protection of maternal and child health and emergency medical care in the districts of Khatlon region.”
The implementation of the 6th phase of this project began in 2022.
It was noted that the bank has been providing significant assistance to the healthcare sector and social protection of the country’s population over the past years.
Currently, the Ministry with the support of this bank is implementing the projects “Protection of maternal and child health and emergency medical care in the districts of Khatlon region, stages 2-5” and “Tuberculosis control, stage 5.”
These projects proceed from the provisions of the intergovernmental agreements of Tajikistan and the Germany on financial cooperation.
