Tajikistan and India Discuss the Development of Multifaceted Relations

DUSHANBE, 06.05.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, in the city of Panaji, on the sidelines of a session of the SCO Ministerial Council, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with his Indian counterpart Subrahmanyam Jaishankar.
The meeting focused on the current state and prospects for the development of multifaceted mutually beneficial relations between Tajikistan and India.
The parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation between the two countries in all areas, especially through the activation of work of such cooperation mechanisms as political and consular consultations, the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation, as well as other formats of interaction in the spheres of security, energy, industry, agriculture, healthcare, and education.
The ministers also exchanged views on regional issues and partnership within multilateral formats.
