Dushanbe Hosts Central Asian Scientists Forum

DUSHANBE, 15.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, a forum of scientists from Central Asian countries was held at the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan.
It was attended by leaders and experts from the academies of sciences of Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan Farhod Rahimi stated that science is a word with unlimited meaning. It is necessary to develop fruitful cooperation between scientists of the Central Asian states and consider most of the various problems characteristic of all countries in the region in full cooperation and coordination.
He wished that the scientific and intellectual cooperation of scientists would only strengthen in the future.
The presidents of the academies of sciences of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan stated that scientific cooperation between Central Asian scientists will continue to expand.
The participants made presentations on the topics “The state and prospects of regional academic cooperation in the field of exact and natural sciences,” “Issues and prospects for the development of social sciences in Tajikistan in the current period” and others.
It was noted that at the present stage the state considers one of its strategic goals to be supporting and strengthening scientific potential for the successful and sustainable development of the republic.
It was also informed that during the years of independence, the departments of social sciences of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan prepared and published fundamental works on history, archeology and ethnography, philosophy and law, literary criticism and folklore, linguistics and oriental studies.
