Meteorological Department of Tajikistan Switches to New Technology for Improving Forecasts

DUSHANBE, 09.10.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The transition to new technologies for improving forecasts was discussed in Dushanbe by the meteorological departments of Tajikistan and Finland.
Agency specialists provided participants with information on climate change issues in Tajikistan and monitoring of air pollution.
It was discussed the prospects for cooperation in development in the field of early warning and disaster risk management, improvement of the atmospheric air quality monitoring system, transition to new technologies for improving forecasts and the quality of hydrometeorological products.
Cooperation between the Agency for Hydrometeorology of Tajikistan and the Meteorological Institute of Finland began in 2013.
