State Reproductive Health Program for 2023-2027 Presented in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 03.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – On November 2, the State Reproductive Health Program for 2023-2027, approved by the Governmental Decree dated August 31, 2023, was presented in Dushanbe.
It was emphasized that the program was developed to increase the availability, quality and efficiency of reproductive services for the population, improve women’s health, moral and sex education, attract development partners, public organizations and the private sector to provide primary health care institutions with contraceptives, and train workers areas of reproductive health, enhancing the management of the supply and distribution of contraceptives, preparing information and educational materials, increasing public awareness and knowledge on reproductive health issues, improving the health of mothers and newborns, children and adolescents and protecting the reproductive health of the population based on general coverage of health services.
The program is aimed at protecting the reproductive health of the population, access to reproductive health services, reducing maternal mortality, providing medical institutions with modern equipment and technologies, improving the financial situation of medical institutions and providing educational institutions with the necessary educational materials for effectively conducting training sessions on reproductive health of the population.
The program is being implemented in three stages. In particular, the first stage is designed for 2023-2025, the implementation plan of which has already been approved by the Governmental Decree dated August 31, 2023.
The second stage includes 2026, and the third stage includes 2027.
This program is the second State program on reproductive health and is being implemented with funding from the state budget.
Participants expressed their opinions on the implementation of the program.
