Tajikistan Intends to Establish Cooperation with the Northern Regions of Germany

DUSHANBE, 23.01.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – In order to strengthen and expand ties with the northern regions of Germany, on January 18, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Germany Imomudin Sattorov visited the federal state of Schleswig-Holstein.
In the capital, the port city of Kiel, Satorov met with the Prime Minister of this federal state Daniel Gunther.
The parties discussed further strengthening of relations between Tajikistan and Schleswig-Holstein, especially in the areas of economics, renewable energy, science and education, culture and migration.
The meeting with the Vice-President of the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel (Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel) Professor Ralf Schneider focused on the establishment of the inter-university ties, development and implementation of joint research projects in the field of water and glacier preservation, as well as student exchange.
The Ambassador also held discussions with Tajik students studying geography and geology at this scientific institution.
Students were encouraged to pay more attention to in-depth study of modern sciences and foreign languages.
