Exhibition Featuring Tajik Traditions, Customs Opens in Swiss Confederation

DUSHANBE, 19.03.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The Ambassador of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Swiss Confederation, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the United Nations Office and other international organizations in Geneva Sharaf Sheralizoda participated and delivered a statement at the inauguration ceremony of the exhibition of national costumes and folk crafts of Central Asian countries.
During the speech, the Ambassador introduced to the participants national achievements, culture and ancient civilization of the Tajik people, inscription of the historical site «Sarazm» in the UNESCO World Heritage List, and Traditions of Atlas and Adras weaving, «Art of Chakanduzi», «Nowruz», «Falak» and «Shashmaqam» in the UNESCO List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity, as well as tourism opportunities of Tajikistan.
The exhibition started on March 15, 2024 and will be continued until April 1, 2024.
