Representatives of Tajikistan takes part in the forum of the SCO member states’ political parties

DUSHANBE, 23.04.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Representatives of the Republic of Tajikistan led by the First Deputy Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan Maliksho Ne’matzoda took part in the forum of political parties of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization member states, held in Urumqi city of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of the People’s Republic of China.
Within the framework of the forum Maliksho Ne’matzoda met with the official representative of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Chen Zhou.
Chen Zhou expressed gratitude to the people of Tajikistan for warm and sincere hospitality during his visit to Tajikistan, which was unforgettable and valuable for him.
Also during the meeting, the sides expressed their view on the special attention and constant support of the top leadership of Tajikistan to the expansion of regional cooperation.
The sides stressed that cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the People’s Republic of China within the framework of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization is being strengthened and has yielded significant results, especially in the fight against terrorism, extremism and transnational crime.
Maliksho Ne’matzoda said that the Leader of the Nation, Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon attaches paramount importance to the development of inter-party and political cooperation with China. The Republic of Tajikistan is interested in further strengthening these ties and is ready to develop them.
We recall that in 2025 the chairmanship of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization will pass to the People’s Republic of China. In this connection, it is planned to hold important high-level political and regional meetings, forums and conferences in China.
