Tajik and Iranian Foreign Ministers Discuss Key Areas of Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 20.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 17, in Tehran, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, Seyed Abbas Araghchi.
The two sides discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation between Tajikistan and Iran.
The meeting highlighted plans to strengthen cooperation in key sectors, including the economy, trade, culture, science, and tourism, building on the strong foundation already in place.
The parties also exchanged views on recent regional and global developments.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further cooperation within international and regional organizations.
Minister Muhriddin invited Iran to actively participate in the upcoming International High-Level Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, set to take place in Dushanbe from May 29 to 31, 2025. In response, Seyed Abbas Araghchi confirmed that the Iranian delegation would be led by Mohammad-Reza Arif, Iran’s First Vice President.
