DUSHANBE, 02.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – “Our thematic session underscores the importance of climate justice for all generations and the fight against climate change. The preservation of glaciers is not only an environmental necessity but also a foundation for sustainable development and a guarantee of water security for future generations,” said Tajikistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, on May 31 in Dushanbe, during the thematic session “Pact for the Future: “Pact for the Future: How the Pact Can Inform Glaciers’ Preservation” at the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers Preservation.
Minister emphasized that Tajikistan is calling on the global community to engage in active cooperation to address common challenges — including climate change, biodiversity loss, water scarcity, and inequality — and to take meaningful action in support of the Pact.
