Tajikistan and UN Economic Commission for Europe Discuss Cooperation in Paris

DUSHANBE, 13.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 11, in Paris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), Ms. Tatiana Molchan.
The parties exchanged views on the development of cooperation within the framework of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Particular attention was given to areas such as improving regional transport connectivity, simplifying trade procedures, sustainable water resource management, transition to a green economy, digital transformation, and pressing issues of regional integration.
It is worth recalling that the Tajik delegation also participated in a high-level event in Paris dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Intergovernmental Hydrological Programme and the 60th anniversary of UNESCO Water Sciences.
