Tajikistan — JICA discuss 220 kV electric substation construction project in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 04.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Minister of Energy and Water Resources of Tajikistan Daler Juma held a meeting with Imai Seiju, Chief Representative of JICA in Tajikistan Office, reports MoEWR of Tajikistan.
During the conversation the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the Agency in the spheres of energy and water resources were discussed.
Special attention was paid to the project of construction of a new 220 kV electric substation in Dushanbe.
It was noted that the implementation of this project is important for strengthening the sustainability of the energy network and increasing the reliability of power supply in the capital of the country.
The parties expressed readiness to further strengthen and expand cooperation.
