Political Consultations Held Between the Foreign Ministries of Tajikistan and Qatar in Doha

DUSHANBE, 16.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Political consultations between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan and the State of Qatar took place on July 15 in Doha, the capital of Qatar.
The delegations were headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan, Farrukh Sharifzoda, and Minister of State for Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sultan bin Saad bin Sultan Al-Muraikhi.
During the consultations, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral and multilateral cooperation in the political, economic, cultural, and humanitarian spheres. It was noted that diplomatic ties between the two countries, built on mutual respect and shared interests, continue to develop dynamically, forming a solid foundation for the expansion of cooperation in all areas.
Special emphasis was placed on attracting Qatari investment into Tajikistan’s economy, particularly in infrastructure and energy sectors.
The parties also exchanged views on pressing issues of the international and regional agenda. Key topics included security, counterterrorism and counter-extremism efforts, climate change, food and water security, and enhancing cooperation within international and regional organizations.
