DUSHANBE, 13.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Counter Terrorism and Extremism Network of the United Kingdom in Asia and Oceania.
The agreement was finalized in Dushanbe during a meeting between the Prosecutor General of the Republic of Tajikistan Habibullo Vohidzoda and the Ambassador of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Tajikistan Catherine Smithton.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed a number of pressing matters pertaining to strengthening bilateral cooperation in combating transnational crimes, international terrorism, religious and political extremism and other manifestations of transnational organized crime that pose a serious threat to national security and sustainable development of the region.
The document will lay the foundation for mutual cooperation in the areas of combating transnational crime, international terrorism, religious and political extremism, and other manifestations of transnational organized crime.
