Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea sign $6.5 million negotiations protocol for digitalisation project
On December 10, 2025, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and KOICA Director General signed a Protocol of Negotiations regarding a $6.5 million grant project between the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) to strengthen the digitalization of government functions in the Republic of Tajikistan, Khovar reports citing press-office of the ministry.
At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Economic Development and Trade Abdurahmonzoda Abdurahmon Safarali noted that bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea have developed, creating a reliable foundation for the implementation of constructive and effective projects.
«The document provides for the creation of a unified platform for monitoring and evaluating strategic documents, as well as the digitalization of the coordination processes and effective planning for the placement of applicants in higher, secondary, and basic vocational education institutions» — he added.
Mr. Kang Seoung Hun, in his turn noting that KOICA will devote all its resources and capabilities to the implementation of industry projects.
