DUSHANBE, 09.12.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – This year, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two brotherly nations. This milestone stands as a testament to the enduring bonds of friendship and fruitful cooperation nurtured under the wise leadership of His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, and His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain
On this occasion, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain take great pride in the enduring and robust partnership between their leaderships and peoples, a relationship founded on trust, mutual respect, shared human values, and common interests. This longstanding bond has been consistently nurtured and strengthened, as both countries remain committed to advancing a future of lasting prosperity, stability, and mutual benefit for all.
The exchange of high-level visits and sustained engagements over the past three decades has significantly enhanced mutual understanding and reflects the genuine and consistent commitment of both sides to fostering a comprehensive partnership encompassing political, economic, cultural, and social spheres.
Both nations recognize the critical importance of maintaining structured dialogue to strengthen existing cooperation, explore new avenues of collaboration, promote innovation, and effectively address contemporary global challenges.
Looking to the future, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain reaffirm their intention to intensify cooperation in key sectors of mutual interest, including trade and investment; civil aviation and air transport; economic, commercial, and technical cooperation; tourism; culture; education; and capacity building. Both sides underscore the importance of continued coordination among relevant authorities, in partnership with the private sector, to promote exchanges, explore new opportunities, and encourage innovation, with a view to achieving sustainable progress and tangible benefits for their peoples.
In addition, both countries remain committed to deepening cooperation within key multilateral and regional frameworks, including the United Nations, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), the Asian Cooperation Dialogue (ACD), the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA), and other relevant international bodies. Together, both sides will continue to promote the core values of global peace and security, sustainable development, and intercultural dialogue.
Moving forward, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Bahrain express their firm belief that, guided by the enduring principles of mutual respect, shared interests, and the spirit of friendship that has defined their relations since 1995, bilateral cooperation will continue to expand and flourish in the years and decades ahead.
