DUSHANBE, 19.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, in his congratulatory message on the occasion of the advent of the holy month of Ramadan, emphasized that the principles underlying the establishment of a modern national state require that Islamic values, as well as national customs, rituals, and traditions, serve to strengthen stability and peace, and ensure the well-being and prosperity of the people of Tajikistan.
The Head of State noted that this year, in honor of a sacred and significant national milestone — the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence — we have declared the Year of Expanding Development and Creative Endeavors, and of strengthening and consolidating national self-awareness and identity. This proud year offers every member of society an opportunity to contribute, through diligent work and constructive action, to the country’s progress and the flourishing and development of our beloved Motherland.
He further emphasized that, in this way, we are not only celebrating the great anniversary of independence, but also laying the foundations for a bright future of the country for generations to come.
Addressing the concept of sadaqah jariyah (ongoing charity), the Leader of the Nation stated: “It should be borne in mind that development initiatives, including the construction and rehabilitation of roads and bridges, healthcare facilities, as well as schools and kindergartens, constitute ongoing charity and, in accordance with the teachings of the noble religion of Islam, bring great spiritual reward and lasting benefit to those who undertake them.”
Emomali Rahmon also emphasized that every citizen of the country can perform a good deed, contribute to the development of a part of the homeland, and demonstrate patriotism and pride in the Motherland through concrete actions.
In his congratulatory message, the Leader of the Nation expressed his sincere gratitude to the honorable people of the country, particularly to entrepreneurs and philanthropists, who actively contribute to such charitable and benevolent endeavors by constructing thousands of industrial and social facilities, including roads and bridges, as well as educational and healthcare institutions.
