Tajikistan, Uzbekistan Expand Artel Avesto Electronics Project to Boost Output to 300,000 Units

An additional agreement to the investment agreement between the government of Tajikistan, AvestoGroup LLC and Uzbekistan’s Artel Engineering and Management LLC on the construction and operation of the Artel Avesto Electronics household appliance manufacturing plant was signed in Dushanbe, the State Committee for Investments and State Property Management of Tajikistan said.

The project, known as Artel Avesto Electronics, is being implemented in three phases. In the first phase in 2019, the plant’s annual production capacity increased to 70,000 household appliances.

In the second phase in 2021, production of 60,000 washing machines and 10,000 televisions was launched, raising total capacity to 140,000 units.

The third phase, planned for 2026–2028, will expand refrigerator production to 100,000 units, introduce air conditioner manufacturing with a capacity of 50,000 units, and include construction of a new production facility in Dushanbe.

Once completed, the plant’s total annual output is expected to reach 300,000 units.

Officials said the project is expected to create jobs, boost domestic manufacturing, increase localization, expand the tax base and support broader industrial development in the country.
