Tajik Deputy Foreign Minister Attends Central Asia–South Korea Summit Preparatory Meeting

A delegation of Tajikistan, led by Deputy Foreign Minister Idibek Kalandar, participated in the second meeting of senior officials preparing for the first Central Asia–Republic of Korea Summit in Tashkent on June 16, according to Tajikistan’s Foreign Ministry.
Participants exchanged views on a range of organizational and substantive issues related to preparations for the inaugural summit, the ministry said.
On the sidelines of the meeting, Kalandar held talks with South Korean Deputy Foreign Minister Lee Hye Cecilia Jeong.
The officials discussed the current state of relations between Tajikistan and the Republic of Korea, as well as prospects for expanding mutually beneficial cooperation across various sectors, according to the ministry.
