Tajikistan to Establish Energy Cybersecurity Coordination Center

Tajikistan plans to establish a National Information System for the Energy Sector and a Cybersecurity Coordination Center for the Energy Sector to strengthen digital management and improve the resilience of the country’s energy infrastructure, the Energy and Water Resources Ministry said.
The initiatives were discussed at a conference in Dushanbe attended by officials from the ministry, representatives of state energy companies and international experts.
According to the ministry, the national information system and cybersecurity center are intended to improve transparency and efficiency in the management of the energy sector, strengthen coordination among government agencies and enhance the stability of the country’s energy system.
Energy and Water Resources Minister Daler Juma said digitalization and the effective use of data are essential to supporting the sector’s sustainable development, improving governance and strengthening Tajikistan’s energy security.
Officials said the proposed National Information System would serve as a unified platform for collecting, processing, analyzing and sharing sector data, supporting the digitalization of management processes and improving transparency and operational efficiency.
Conference participants also reviewed a concept for the National Information System for the Energy Sector, a 2026-2027 roadmap for its implementation and proposals for establishing the Cybersecurity Coordination Center for the Energy Sector, the ministry said.
