On September 22, in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, officially commissioned the new building of Secondary School No. 26 «Nuri Rahmon».

The modern educational facility was constructed as part of the Government’s education-oriented policy and in honor of the national celebration of the 35th anniversary of State Independence. It was built in accordance with international standards and incorporates modern architectural designs and elements.

The four-story modern school was constructed with funds from the budget of the Executive Body of State Power of Sughd Province as part of efforts to improve the educational environment and develop science and education. It is designed to accommodate 4,000 students in two shifts.

Construction of the facility began in 2025 and was completed within one year to a high standard of quality.

The new institution has 73 classrooms, 15 of which are specialized and fully equipped subject classrooms with the necessary visual aids and equipment. These include classrooms for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, mathematics, computer studies, foreign languages, technology and vocational training for boys and girls, as well as military training.

The educational facility also provides favorable conditions for developing children’s intellectual abilities, acquiring modern knowledge, and engaging in various entertaining and educational games.

The school also has educational laboratories, teachers’ offices, traditional and electronic libraries, a medical facility, a cafeteria with 200 seats, and an assembly hall with 300 seats.

At this center of knowledge and learning, 38 teachers are engaged in educating and raising students. The educational process is monitored through surveillance cameras.

A Museum of the Leader of the Nation has also been established at the newly built institution. It contains photographs documenting five periods of the life and activities of the Head of State. The presence of such a museum at the school is intended to contribute directly to strengthening patriotism among adolescents and young people and to fostering respect for the continuous efforts of President Emomali Rahmon toward the development, prosperity, and progress of independent Tajikistan.

The spacious and well-equipped sports hall at the school provides facilities for football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and chess. It will directly contribute to promoting a healthy lifestyle and improving students’ physical fitness.

The sports ground is another advantage of the school in terms of developing physical education and sports. The provision of such facilities will allow students to spend their free time productively and engage in physical activities.

During his inspection of the facilities created at the educational institution, President Emomali Rahmon highly commended the standard and quality of the construction work and instructed teachers to make rational use of the available opportunities and to educate knowledgeable and talented young people.

It was emphasized that, with favorable conditions for education and upbringing being created in general educational institutions throughout the country, the quality of education and students’ knowledge must be given the highest priority.

According to President Emomali Rahmon, today it is impossible to make progress without science and innovation, information and communication technologies, and the development of a technical worldview.
