Russia allocates about 1.5 million USD to Tajikistan for health sector
Dushanbe, 19.02.2016. (NIAT “Khovar”). — Russia allocates 1.43 million USD in the budget of the UN Children’s Fund (UNICEF) for the implementation of project “the Survival and development of children of early age in the Republic of Tajikistan”.
According to the Russian Foreign Ministry, the main goal of the project is to increase access of mothers, newborns and children of early age in the twelve districts of the country to basic services in health care sector. Measures for increase of capacity of healthcare institutions of Tajikistan, equipment of the most needing medical institutions with the specialized equipment and supply with medicines, restoration of systems of water supply of maternity hospitals, as well as educational work among the population are provided in its framework.
