Commander of Russia’s Central Military District visits Tajikistan
Dushanbe, 21.04.2016. /NIAT «Khovar»/. Commander of the Central military district Colonel General Vladimir Zarudnitsky has arrived in Tajikistan in order to checked preparedness of Russian units for Search-2016joint special exercise, which is to be held on April 21 at the Lohur training ground, some 30 kilometers of Dushanbe.
According to the Central Military District press center, the Russian units of operational, special, electronic, aerial and other types of reconnaissance will participate in the exercise stages.
Colonel General Vladimir Zarudnitsky will also hold meetings with the leadership of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and representatives of the Armed Forces, which units are to participate in the exercise.
The special exerciseSearch-2016 started on April 18 at the Magob range in Tajikistan and will continue at the training complex of the 201st Russian military base.
Military control bodies, units of operational, special, electronic, aerial and other types of reconnaissance of the Armed Forces from Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan are participating the exercise.
In total, about 1,500servicemen, and army, tactic and military transport aviation are involved in the Search-2016.
