6 militants executed in Kabul
Dushanbe, 09.05.2016. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On Sunday morning in the Kabul prison Pul-Charkhi 6 Taliban militants were executed.
Earlier militants were sentenced to death by hanging. The death sentence was approved by the President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, the press service of the presidential palace confirmed.
«The President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani has approved the death penalty 6 convicts who have committed serious crimes against the civilian population and public safety», — quotes the statement by the presidential press-service channel «Ariana TV.»
It should be noted that the decision of the President of the execution of the militants was taken after a major attack in Kabul, which killed 64 people and more than 340 injured, and is seen as assign of collapsed peace process.
