Tajikistan and Qatar discussed cultural and humanitarian relations
DUSHANBE, 09.11.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the State of Qatar Khisrav Sohibzoda met with the Minister of Culture and Sport of the State of Qatar Salah bin Ganim al-Ali on November 6.
According to the Foreign Ministry of the country, the meeting discussed the state and prospects for the development of bilateral cultural-humanitarian relations and the implementation of the Agreement between the Governments of Tajikistan and Qatar on cooperation in the field of culture. It was confirmed mutual interest in further expansion of cooperation in various spheres of culture and art. In order to deepen cooperation in this direction, the sides noted the importance of holding the Days of Culture of Tajikistan and Qatar in both countries, organizing art and book exhibitions, carrying out youth exchanges and mutual visits of representatives of literature and art, as well as strengthening of contacts between national libraries, theaters and museums of the two countries.
Also, an exchange of views took place on the issues of mutually beneficial cooperation development between Tajikistan and Qatar in the field of sports and physical culture. The sides have welcomed the readiness of the relevant departments of the two countries to sign an agreement on cooperation in this sphere in the near future.
