National Assembly Speaker Rustam Emomali Attends the CIS IPA Council Meeting

DUSHANBE, 27.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali attended the meeting of the Council of the Inter-parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA) and the 51st plenary meeting of the CIS IPA, which was held by video conference.
The meeting focused on a number of issues, including the election of the Chairman of the CIS IPA Council, the CIS IPA work plan, the development of parliamentarism, inter-parliamentary relations, legislative support of measures in the CIS countries in connection with the COVID-19 pandemic, the state and prospects of economic integration and its regulatory support in the Eurasian space, preparations for the observation of elections to government bodies in the CIS in 2021, the establishment of the Expert Council on Science and Education under the CIS IPA, the draft Convention on the Protection of the Cultural Heritage of the CIS Member States, the Model Labor Code for the CIS Member States, the Model Election Code for the CIS Member States and other issues relating to the CIS IPA activities.
Relevant decisions have been made on the discussed issues.
