Tajikistan and WHO Discuss Health Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 12.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – On April 9, the Deputy Minister of Finance Yusuf Majidi met with the head of the Country Office of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Tajikistan Viktor Olsavsky and members of the Interdepartmental Expert Group.
The parties discussed the pilot implementation of the health financing reform in the Sughd region.
The meeting also focused on the issues of improving medical services for the population of the country using various components, as well as the preparation of a new National Health Strategy and compliance with the fundamental requirements of health financing.
They expressed their interest in further closer cooperation, which will contribute to improving the quality of medical services in Tajikistan.
