President Emomali Rahmon Holds Phone Talk with the Chairmen of Rasht and Tojikobod Districts

DUSHANBE, 10.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President Emomali Rahmon in a telephone conversation heard the reports of the chairmen of Rasht and Tojikobod districts Mukimi Rahimjon and Kadriddin Fakerzoda on the earthquake consequences.
He was informed that the earthquake that occurred this morning destroyed residential buildings and claimed the lives of 4 people, including 2 children.
President Emomali Rahmon instructed the Prime Minister Rasulzoda, the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense, the Chairmen of Rasht and Tojikobod districts to take immediate measures to eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster and provide assistance to the affected families.
The government commission has began work on eliminating the damages at the scenes.
The earthquake was felt in neighboring countries as well.
