President Emomali Rahmon Visited Roshtkala of GBAO

DUSHANBE, 28.09.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Following his working trip to Darvoz, the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon visited the Roshtkala district to get acquainted with the living conditions of the people and attended opening ceremonies.
The trip began with the opening of the new building of the local center of justice and the administrative building of the local tax office.
He also attended the unveiling ceremonies of the National Flag Square with a 33-meter flagpole and the electro energy customer service center.
In addition, he attended the opening ceremony for a water pipeline which will supply the villages of Savir, Medon, 171 households, as well as administrative buildings, schools, hospitals, and other service facilities.
The project was implemented with the financial support of the government and the branch of the Aga Khan Agency for Habitat in Tajikistan totaling more than 2.4 million somoni.
In his meeting with local representatives, President Rahmon noted that the government is continuing to ensure sustainable socio-economic development and improve the welfare of the people of Roshtkala, and has so far channeled more than 715 billion somoni to the area.
He noted that 10 public investment projects worth more than 18 million somoni have been implemented in the district, with two more underway.
Sixteen energy facilities have been renovated and put into operation, as a result of which the electricity supply of the district has significantly improved.
In order to create favorable conditions for students of Roshtkala, 12 new educational institutions for more than 2,040 students have been built.
In order to support the needy population, over the past six years, 7,000 residents of the district have been provided with social assistance.
