Continuation of the Official Visit of Rustam Emomali to Turkmenistan

DUSHANBE, 12.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday as part of his official visit to Turkmenistan, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali and his accompanying delegation visited the Mosque of Turkmenbashi Rukhy of Kipchak in Ashgabat.
Rustam Emomali laid a wreath at the mausoleum of the first President of Turkmenistan Saparmurat Niyazov.
Then he visited the International Equestrian Complex in Ashgabat. Here, the Speaker of the Tajik National Assembly was presented with the program of the Galkinish National Equestrian Group.
Further, Rustam Emomali visited the Olympic village of Ashgabat.
Here, he met with the Chairman of Ashgabat Rais Gandimov.
The parties exchanged views on the achievements of the capital of Turkmenistan in the fields of economy and trade, socio-cultural development, especially in the field of sports and tourism.
This Olympic village is one of the main objects of the 2017 Asian Games in closed halls and was built on an area of 157 hectares.
More than 30 different sports facilities have been built in the Olympic village, including the Olympic Stadium for 45,000 seats, the Paralympic Center, a medical and rehabilitation center, an indoor cycle track, a martial arts sports complex, an indoor athletics complex, a tennis court, a swimming pool, various shopping centers, hotels and other relevant items.
The Speaker of the Tajik National Assembly also got acquainted with the activities of the Ashgabat Textile Complex.
The enterprise is the only one in CIS space.
High-quality textile products from local cotton are increasingly strengthening their positions in the world market.
The annual capacity of the Ashgabat Textile Complex is 13,100 tons of yarn and 22.5 million square meters of cotton fabric. The enterprise employs 2,800 people in four workshops — manufacturing, weaving, dyeing and sewing.
