Muhriddin and Lebedev Discuss Topical Issues of Cooperation Within the CIS

DUSHANBE, 12.05.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, on the sidelines of the CIS ministerial council meeting, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Chairman of the Executive Committee — CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev.
The meeting focused on topical issues of political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation within the Commonwealth.
The parties also exchanged views on the regional and international agenda.
Lebedev informed Muhriddin about the preparations for the spring ministerial council meeting.
Tomorrow, CIS ministerial council meeting will be held in Dushanbe.
The meeting is expected to be attended by the foreign ministers of Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova and Russia, as well as the acting foreign minister of Uzbekistan and the deputy foreign minister of Turkmenistan.
The ministers are expected to exchange views on topical issues of the international agenda and cooperation within the CIS.
