Tajikistan — Japan Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 02.08.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, Dushanbe hosted a meeting between the head of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group of Tajikistan and Japan Sharif Hakimzoda and the Japanese parliamentary delegation headed by Keiji Furuya.
Hakimzoda noted that the visit of the Japanese delegation to Tajikistan will contribute to strengthening bilateral relations between the states and their inter-parliamentary ties.
He added that the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group between the Representatives Assembly of Tajikistan and the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament was established in 2008, and its first session with the participation of parliamentary delegations of the two countries was held on March 6, 2019 in Tokyo.
The parties expressed satisfaction with the current level of inter-parliamentary cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by members of the friendship group, including the Chairman of the Committee for International Affairs, Public Associations and Information of the Representatives Assembly of Tajikistan Saidmurod Fattohzoda, and deputies Gulbahor Naziri and Parvina Malikzod.
Today the delegation also met with the Minister of Agriculture Sadi Karimzoda, and visited the Bogi Somon vineyard in Tursunzoda.
