DUSHANBE, 16.09.2022 (NIAT Khovar) – The Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon met with the President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadir Japarov on the sidelines of the SCO summit in Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
The two leaders discussed the situation which occurred in the border region of Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
The officials reaffirmed their agreed upon stance to establish a commission to investigate the causes of the armed conflict and issued the co-chairs of the Intergovernmental Commission on Delimitation and Demarcation of the State Border to step up their activities, including the activities of topographic working groups.
The two leaders expressed their previously noted positions that all the issues should be resolved only through political and diplomatic means.
