Dushanbe to Host Toji Somon International Film Festival

DUSHANBE, 08.08.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – In October of this year, the first International Film Festival «Toji Somon» will be held in Dushanbe under the motto «The history of the development of Tajiks.»
It is expected that filmmakers from foreign countries will take part in the festival and present their best films.
The festival will be held from October 15 through October 19. Its purpose is to support creative youth, attention to national values, exchange of experience, training, presentation of domestic and foreign films to film lovers, development of joint projects, presentation of tourist destinations and promotion of the achievements of the independence period, strengthening and expanding international relations in the film industry within the framework of the Cinema Development Program of Tajikistan for 2023-2027.”
The festival is considered an important arena for specialists in the field of international cinema, and it will be attended by famous filmmakers from around the world as guests of honor.
The regulations for the festival have been prepared, the organizing committee, as well as the logo-symbol and the Grand Prix have been developed and approved. The logo is decorated with national motifs, there is a crown in the symbol, and around it is written in English letters «Dushanbe International Film Festival,» «History of the Development of Tajiks.» Grand Prix in the form of a statue of Shoh Ismoil Somoni was chosen as a symbol of the Tajiks statehood and was prepared with high quality.
