Almaty Hosts the International Conference on Climate Resilient and Low-Carbon Cities of Central Asia

DUSHANBE, 28.09.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The international conference within the framework of the regional study “Climate change-resilient and low-carbon cities of Central Asia” is being held in Almaty.
The delegation of Tajikistan led by the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense Rustam Nazarzoda takes part in the conference.
The event brought together representatives of relevant government bodies, legislators, experts, development partners involved in urban development, city management, planning, construction, and provision of public services.
Nazarzoda emphasized that Tajikistan plays a leading role in the global agenda to promote water and climate issues. During this period, on five initiatives of Tajikistan, the UN General Assembly adopted a number of resolutions aimed at uniting the efforts of the international community to solve existing problems and intensify actions in this direction.
