DUSHANBE, 17.11.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in the Kyrgyz city of Bishkek, the Speaker of the National Assembly, Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali took part in the regular meeting of the Council of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS IPA).

The meeting was held under the leadership of the Chairman of the CIS IPA, Speaker of the Russian Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, and was also attended by the heads of parliamentary delegations of Kyrgyzstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan.

According to the agenda, members of the Council discussed issues about the Chairman of the CIS IPA Council, about the results of the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the CIS, about improving the legal regulation of counter-terrorism and anti-extremist activities in the CIS, on increasing the sustainability of the health system to achieve universal health coverage, as well as other issues related to the activities of the Commonwealth.

Following the meeting, relevant decisions were made.
