DUSHANBE, 11.09.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, arrived in Khovaling district of Khatlon Province on a working visit with the aim of opening a number of facilities for various purposes and getting acquainted with the living conditions of the people.

In the Khovaling district, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, first commissioned the building of the private educational institution “Gymnasium named after Jalol Ikromi”.

The educational facility was built by the patriotic businessman Abdullo Hasanov in this picturesque corner of the country in the framework of the Head of State’s constant attention and support for the development of entrepreneurship in anticipation of the great national holiday — 35th anniversary of state independence.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the building of the educational institution consists of two floors and is designed for 456 students per shift.

Construction work on this Gymnasium began in February 2025 on a total area of 4,860 square meters and was completed in August of this year.

With the opening of this Gymnasium, 60 local specialists in the field of science and education from the Khovaling district were provided with permanent jobs and good salaries.

The modern educational institution has an electronic library, a covered gymnasium, a sports field, specialized subject classrooms, a canteen and auxiliary buildings, and is equipped with an independent heating network.

The Gymnasium also has three laboratories for physics, chemistry, and biology.

12 subject clubs have been established in the educational institution to prepare for republican and international competitions and olympiads.

During the acquaintance with the conditions of this modern Gymnasium, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the quality of construction works and called it a good and worthy act to contribute to the acquisition of modern knowledge and education of the younger generation.

The new educational building was constructed with high quality, taking into account the requirements of the sector, national architectural elements and meeting international standards, and the classrooms and technical and educational rooms are furnished with equipment and teaching aids.
