Aga Khan Development Network in Tajikistan and CESCD intend to expand cooperation
DUSHANBE, 04.02.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda has met with the Permanent Representative of the Aga Khan Development Network in Tajikistan Akbar Ali Pesnani on Thursday February 2 in Dushanbe. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the press centre of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense /CESCD/.
According to the CESCD message, the Chairman of the Committee informed the high-ranking guest on the measures taken in Tajikistan in the field of emergency situations management and the CESCD activity. It was also briefed about the work on preventing emergency situations and overcoming their consequences, as well as the activities of separate units of the Committee.
Akbar Ali Pesnani, noting the development of relations between the Aga-Khan Foundation and CESCD recently, called for the development of cooperation in the field of emergency situations management. He extended to Rustam Nazarzoda written thanks of the Prince Karim Aga Khan IV, in which the interest to further expansion of cooperation was noted.
The meeting also discussed a number of issues of mutual interest.
