Tajikistan Minister of Economic Development and Trade meets with the President of the UN General Assembly and Canadian FM
DUSHANBE, 18.07.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On July 17, in the UN headquarters, the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, met with the President of the 71st Session of the UN General Assembly Mr. Peter Thomson.
According to the MFA Information Department, during the meeting the parties discussed current issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the UN bodies, and exchanged views on current economic and social issues, including the implementation of the sustainable development goals.
On the same day, as part of his visit to New York for the High Level Political Forum (HLPF), the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan Nematullo Hikmatullozoda met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Canada Ms. Chrystia Freeland.
The meeting discussed current issues of bilateral and multilateral relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and Canada.
The parties had an exchange of views on issues related to the labor market, water problems and further development of economic relations.
