DUSHANBE, 31.08.2017. / NIAT «Khovar»/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon met in Beijing with the Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress of the People’s Republic of China Zhang Dejiang.

The meeting discussed situation and prospects of friendly and promising relations between Tajikistan and China, which are regulated by the package of important legal acts of cooperation.

It was stressed that during the years of establishment of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and China the two parties have achieved significant results and the necessary structures for strengthening of this cooperation have been established.

It was expressed satisfaction over the level of political, economic, cultural, humanitarian and social relations, and the role of parliaments of the two states in the development and expansion of these relations was stressed.

The sides have expressed fruitful proposals for the further enhancement of the inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The meeting also considered the issues of interaction of the two states’ parliaments in the fight against terrorism and international extremism and other regional and global threats and challenges.
