DUSHANBE, 25.10.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon chaired a regular meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The meeting addressed current social and economic development issues.

The meeting first considered personnel matters. As follows, by the decree of the Government of Tajikistan Nazrizoda Saidrahmon Rustam has been relieved of his post of the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade in connection with his appointment to different post. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin was appointed the First Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In accordance with other decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Gadoiyon Shokirjon Gado has been relieved of his post of principal of the State Educational Institution “Presidential School for Gifted Children in the Hisor city». Saidzoda Muhammadtohir was appointed principal of the State Educational Institution “Presidential School for Gifted Children in the Hisor city».

Minister of Economic Development and Trade and Finance Minister briefed the President on the results of socio-economic development of the Republic of Tajikistan for the nine months of 2017 and draft law «On the state budget of Tajikistan for 2018 and the forecast for 2019-2020.»

It was noted that over the past month gross domestic product (GDP) had reached 42.4 billion somoni and its real gross grew by 6.8 per cent.

The income part of the nine months of the 2017 state budget was fulfilled in surplus. In total, the amount of income accumulated in the state budget in January-September 2017 reached 14,1 billion somoni fulfilling this rate at 100.3 per cent.

Over the nine months of the 2017, the volume of retail trade had reportedly reached 13.9 billion somoni and over the past months Tajikistan had generated 13.7 billion kW/h of electricity, which was 469.3 kW/h more than in the same period last year.

The President outlined the priority tasks for the members of the Government on ensuring the real development of the economy for which it is necessary to attract more foreign investments and increase the production of industrial and agricultural goods as well as to refrain from non-essential expenses and implementing of both the expenditure and revenue side of the state budget.

The meeting attendees also discussed a number of draft decrees of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, particularly “On the State Program for External debts of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2018-2020″, «On the forecast of main macroeconomic indicators of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2019 and the main parameters of the key macroeconomic indicators forecast for 2020-2021», and “On the preparation and implementation process of the work for the International Decade for Action «Water for Sustainable Development», 2018-2028.

The meeting also reviewed and submitted for consideration of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (the parliament’s lower house) a number of draft laws concerning the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan ‘On making addition to the law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the State Budget of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2017″, “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Militia», “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «On Medical Insurance of the Republic of Tajikistan», “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan’ “On making addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan «About Criminal Code”, “On the draft Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the children’s rights’ protection”.

Besides, the members of the Government of Tajikistan sent for consideration of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli (Parliament of Tajikistan) 4 final opinions of the members of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan concerning the draft Constitutional Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On making changes and addenda to the Constitutional Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Courts of the Republic of Tajikistan”, the proposal of final opinion of the members of the Government to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On political parties» and the proposal of final opinion of the members of the Government to the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On charitable activities”

The members of the Government made appropriate decisions related to the drafts of other laws, including, «On the state program for promotion of employment among the population of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2018-2019», «On state financial support measures for the energy enterprises» and «On territory plan of the free economic zone «Danghara».

During the government session, also the chairmen of Qubodiyon district reported on General Plan of Action for the rolling out of Qubodiyon Township in Qubodiyon district, Khatlon Province.

Also today at the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republican Commission for improvement of the city of Dushanbe was summarized under the motto «Republican contest of landscaping, gardening and construction of sports grounds in honor of the 26th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan».

Thus, a number of heads of executive bodies of State authority of cities and districts of the republican subordination, ministries and departments, state institutions and universities were awarded material and financial aid for the construction of the best sports grounds, landscaping and greening of streets design, squares, avenues, boulevards.
